Four of the starting XV (Finn Walsh, Jordan Ethelston, Charlie Pascoe, Freddie Mills) have played for Newbury RFC for many years.
A quote from one of their parents: "Freddie and Jordan have been friends and team-mates for well over a decade thanks to Newbury RFC.
I am telling you this to highlight the huge contribution Newbury RFC has made to Freddie generally and his love of the game, and I suspect Finn's, Jordan’s and Charlie’s parents would say the same. Without the club’s support and the unstinting efforts of so many of his coaches (particularly Ian Leatham, Dave Langford, Richard Butcher and Neil Marks) there and the contribution of various team managers etc over so many years, Freddie would not have started playing aged 7 and would certainly neither be playing for Berkshire nor captaining Coventry University".
From this season's Berkshire squad, one Newbury RFC player has been selected for the South West U20's squad - congratulations to Freddie Mills (Newbury RFC & Coventry University).
