Jasper Hayes from the U10s
Jasper is a truly deserving winner and an outstanding member of the team. His vibrant personality and constant smile bring boundless energy to the club, making him a joy to be around. A vital part of our formidable U10s squad, Jasper’s passion for rugby is contagious, motivating his teammates to push themselves, play with intensity, and embrace new challenges. His dedication and skill set an inspiring example. Congratulations, Jasper—keep up the fantastic work!
As it was the final session of the season, we also awarded the Code Ninja Player of the Season for the Newbury Minis Section 2024-25. This goes to the player that the coaches felt best embodied the TREDS rugby ethos. And the winner is (drumroll please)....
Charlie Bandie from the U9s
Very well done Charlie. A fantastic winner - a stand-out character and player in the mighty U9s!
Since joining the club at the age of four, he has been a joy to coach, bringing an infectious enthusiasm and winning mentality to the team. He consistently leads by example, giving his all in every challenge and demonstrating impressive growth in his support play and teamwork. He is already showcasing exceptional skills at such a young age. A formidable force in defense, when Charlie tackles you, you stay tackled! He always puts his body on the line for his team, and thoroughly embodies the TREDS ethos. Congratulations, Charlie! Well done Oskar!
You will see Charlie's name on the plaque outside the doors to the Kickers Bar alongside all the other Code Ninja monthly winners. I would like to send a huge thank you to Marcus, Alina and the team at Code Ninjas for their generosity and support in making this all possible. Code Ninjas do an amazing job in Newbury, encouraging children and adults to develop their coding skills.
