Steve Smith, a work colleague of one of our Junior coaches, will be offering advice and pointers to help parents better understand online risks that their children may face. Steve has recently been trained by CEOP (Child Exploitation Online Protection team) to provide help and advice to parents so that we can all improve our understanding and awareness of the dangers potentially affecting our children as they increasingly use online channels (social media, internet sites, chat sites etc etc).
Steve will be running an informal drop-in session, providing advice and demonstrations for anyone that may be interested on Sunday 14th April between 10:00 - 13:00. Any parent/carer/guardian attending the club is welcome to have a chat with Steve while they are dropping off/picking up players.
If you can't make it on Sunday 14th April, but want to find out more about the work CEOP are doing in community programmes - please have a look at these child/parent friendly websites http://www.thinkuknow.co.uk/, http://www.ceop.police.uk/safety-centre/ or http://www.ceop.police.uk/
