“It’s a great family.”
Looking forward to ...
“planning for the centenary, and having a great centenary. The more you plan it, the more successful it’ll be. I’m excited for the special merch, maybe a special logo, maybe a special kit. But we’ll start doing that very soon and that’s exciting.”
Rugby heroes...
“Nigel Owens. It might be an obvious answer. I’ve seen him speak a few times, I’ve read his autobiographies, he’s just an amazing person. If you do read his autobiography, with what he went through as a young man and what he overcame, it's amazing, outstanding, inspiring. I really enjoy his commentary too. I just love listening to him.”
Favourite rugby moment ...
“the men winning the playoff here. That day was stunning, outstanding, fabulous.”
Most embarrassing moment ...
“when I got ice bucketed. I was collateral damage. Lee Goodall was the coach and two or three of the players lifted the ice bin to throw it at him. I wasn’t aware what was going on. Luckily it was a nice sunny day so it didn’t matter, I think one of the early Pink Days maybe. There’s two or three photos of the crowd looking utterly shocked at what was going on. I just thought it was hysterical.”
My last game ...
“I played three legged rugby in Hyde Park when I was a student in London. I’ve still got the bruises from it.”
Most want to go for dinner with...
“that’s a tough question. It’s got to be someone who is fun or interesting. I don’t want to sit next to someone dull. Shane Williams was good fun, Jason Leonard was fun. I might say Nigel Owens again.”
