Through our BLUES FAMILY, we would like to support two local charities, Newbury Soup Kitchen and Loose Ends, to help those who are struggling through the pandemic and with Christmas approaching.
In context: -
• The Trussell Trust, the UK’s largest network of food banks, expect a 61% increase in the number of food parcels needed this winter.
• In the three months following the first lockdown in March a West Berkshire charity saw a 4-fold rise in the number of people using their foodbank.
• 10% of the children in West Berkshire are living in poverty.
If you can donate something, however small, it would be greatly appreciated. It will mean a great deal to someone in need this Christmas.
All donations can be dropped off at the Clubhouse, in a box provided at the Reception entrance – deadline is Sunday 20th December. We will ensure that all items collected are distributed before Christmas.
