Blues kick off on a cold but bright afternoon, Dings gather and return the kick Alex Millar takes and sets off up the pitch, Blues keep the ball and put pressure on the Dings defence through several phases before a neat Dan Thorne grubber kick is taken into touch by a Dings player, Blues win the lineout and mount another good attack which results in a Blues penalty on halfway, Ryan Trevaskis kicks the penalty, 0-3, 5 mins
Dings restart kick is regathered by them but they lose it in the tackle, Blues kick long and chase Dings touch it down and take the 22 drop out, Blues gather and kick and chase, Dings return the kick Blues gather and set off on an attack Josh Bartlett chips a kick over the Dings defenders and chases. Dings under pressure manage to gather and try running at Blues getting up to halfway before a loose pass is picked up by Josh Winfield who runs at the defence before releasing Toby Pearce who has an open channel up the touchline which he takes and outstrips the defence to score Ryan Trevaskis converts 0-10 10 mins
Dings restart kick is not 10 so Blues have a scrum on half way, Blues win a penalty at the scrum, Ryan Trevaskis shot at goal is short, Dings gather and run at Blues but cannot get out of their own 22 until Blues over eagerness gives them a penalty which they kick to touch, lineout won Dings put Blues under sustained pressure but a loose pass means Blues get their hands on the ball and clear to touch, From the lineout Dings win a penalty which is wide of the posts, Dings mount another attack from the 22 drop out getting into Blues 22

Dings keep up the pressure on the Blues try line getting over but held up, Dings mount another attack from the 5m scrum and this time after several phases they crash over to score and kick the conversion 7-10 32 mins
Five minutes later the Dings pressure has Blues defending for their lives, Blues manage to get their bodies under the ball to save one try but the constant pressure tells and Dings score their second try under the posts, 14-10 37 mins
Straight from the kick off Dings put pressure on Blues and again cross the line but are held up by some gallant Blues defence, the final whistle is blown when Dings are again held up over the try line

Dings kick off the second half and within a few minutes have managed to break through the Blues defence to score again 21-10 44 mins
From the kick, off Blues manage to keep hold of the ball through several phases of play winning penalties which enables them to get into Dings 22 before they get turned over, Blues manage to again put pressure on Dings but are unable to turn their pressure into points and a shot at the posts is just wide

Dings are now rampant and keep Blues penned in their own half for long periods keeping hold of the ball and playing their game

On 79 mins Dings have run through the tired Blues defence to score their sixth try making the final score 42-10 79 mins the remaining few minutes remain scoreless
Blues defended well but were unable to stop a good Dings side who not only played well and kept the ball but had all the luck, the two late tries flattering the score line, look forward to the game at Monks Lane
