Newbury Stags travel to Bournemouth with the first team and put up a good fight against a strong Bournemouth 2nd team but eventually losing 55-33

Stags get off to a slow start and within 10 mins are 2 tries and 12 points down, poor tackling and Bournemouth 2nds quick backs cutting through the Stags defence.

Stags halt the slide and for the next 10 mins hold out the Bournemouth attacks but on 20 minutes Bournemouth score their 3rd try to make the score 19-0

Stags are under the cosh and on 26mins have gone further behind when Bournemouth score their 4th try to make the score 26-0

Stags don’t give up and just before half time they manage to get on the scoreboard when James Baker gets over to score Ryan Trevaskis converts 26-7
The last few minutes remain scoreless

Stags come out for the second half and are playing better rugby, on 45 mins Ryan Trevaskis scores a try and converts 26-14

Bournemouth reply and 5 minutes later have stretched their lead scoring a converted try 33-14, Bournemouth go even further in front with another converted try 40-14

Stags keep going and score three more tries through Stephen Anstell, Jamie McIntyre, and
Connor Segre, Ryan Trevaskis adding two more conversions,
Bournemouth adding 3 unconverted tries to make the final score 55-33
