Newbury A’s entertained Salisbury III’s with a strong squad for this friendly match made up of players coming back from injury, regular stalwarts, a couple of Colts and their coaches, and newcomers.
Newbury open the scoring when Ryan Davis score’s his first try, they are soon further in front when Ed Clarke scores.
Newbury keep up the pressure and a further 4 more tries from Ryan Davis and two from the young winger Reuben’s Pretorius, Nick Wackwitz kicking 4 conversions in windy conditions means Blues are never behind in the match and run out eventual winners 48-24
A good hard fought friendly match that gave a couple of young Colts their first taste of senior rugby and a chance to play alongside their coaches as well as a few of the senior players, a great result for all.
