A's keep on the winning streak

Drew Mansbridge opened the scoring after only a few minutes and many watching feared a rout, but Wycombe stuck to their task and made life difficult for the A’s, helped by some mistakes from the A’s when in good positions.
Further tries came from Tom Clarke and will Osborne before Wycombe replied with a great score from their centre, who showed surprising speed to go past a number of blues tacklers. The A’s responded though and tries from Will Osborne and George Anderson gave a half-time score of 27-7.
The second half was delayed due to a neck injury to one of the Wycombe forwards on the stroke of half time. We hope that the injury wasn’t as serious as it looked and that he’ll be back playing soon.
Wycombe scored the first try of the 2nd half, but the A’s found another gear and wrapped up the game with tries from Neil Owen, Barney Atkinson, Greg Price, Dave Harsent and George Anderson.
Harsent added 2 conversions to leave a final score of 54-12.
A solid win for the A’s, who were pleased to welcome new boys Cameron Togher, Calvin Antonie and Tommy Lachaz, all of whom played well on their debuts, and also to Barney Atkinson, who was making a playing return after a number of years on the sidelines.
